Through this Innovation, each district’s superintendent made a commitment to work together to advance the development of innovative programs across the region’s school districts and high schools to dramatically increase the global education competencies of high school students.
Global education competencies are:
- Knowledge and skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)
- Knowledge and skills in cross-cultural competencies required for success in today’s global economy, such as fluency with other languages, cultures and preparation to engage with diverse social and cultural relationships
