WIRED Innovation: Manufacturing Skills Co-op

Through the Manufacturing Skills Co-op Innovation, WIRED West Michigan worked to create an employer-driven collaborative focused on sharing best-in-class practices and workforce development ideas.
This effort led to the development of an employer-driven skills co-op (a members-only website) that drives organizational and skills development in manufacturing, by helping each company learn from other member’s “best practices.” Members can also complete assessments and share ideas and experiences.
The Manufacturing Skills Co-op was incorporated into InnovationWorksin February 2008.
