The Restoring Lives – Recycling Resources Innovation is an innovative workforce training program created by Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids to target the area’s ex-offenders.
Through this Innovation, Goodwill Industries is combining its commitment of recycling unwanted goods with a workforce development program to prepare ex-offenders for re-entry into the workforce. Ex-offenders will work at the Goodwill Recycling Center to gain work experience, while receiving a variety of services designed to help them re-enter society. A workforce development specialist will assist ex-offenders with finding employment following their time at Goodwill.
